Domains
Transfer your domain to DIGIWEB
Keep your name, your website and your email — just move the domain to the team that builds and runs your site.
How it works
Five steps, most of them on your side once
01
Unlock the domain
At your current provider, turn off the transfer lock (also called registrar lock).
02
Get the EPP code
Ask your current provider for the EPP or auth code. It proves you own the domain.
03
Order and pay
Check the domain here, enter the EPP code and pay the transfer securely by card.
04
Approve the email
The registry or your current provider may email the domain owner to confirm. Approve it to speed things up.
05
Done
Most transfers complete within 5 to 7 days. You can follow every step in your client area.
FAQ
Domain transfer questions
What is an EPP code?
An EPP code (also called auth code or transfer code) is a password for the domain, issued by your current provider. Without it a transfer cannot start.
Will my website or email stop working during the transfer?
No. The domain keeps its current nameservers during the transfer, so your website and email keep working. Change nameservers only after the transfer completes, if you want to.
How long does a transfer take?
Usually up to 5 to 7 days. It can be faster when the current provider or the owner approves the transfer as soon as it is requested.
Do I lose the time left on my domain?
No. For many extensions the registry adds one year to the current expiry date when the transfer completes; the time you already paid for is kept.
Why can a domain not be transferred?
The most common reasons are an active transfer lock, a wrong EPP code, a registration or transfer less than 60 days ago, or an expired domain. The check above tells you which one applies.
What if the transfer fails?
You will see the reason in your client area. Fix it (for example by entering a new EPP code) and retry without paying again.
